2010 Census

July 28, 2010

Dear Census 2010 Partner or Supporter:

Little more than two years ago, a few of us, together, embarked on one of the most important endeavors that the nation undertakes only once every decade—the 2010 Census. Others of you joined us along the way in this grassroots community mobilization. Now with the final phases of the 2010 Census in sight, I am pleased to share with you this newsletter as a continuing measure of our progress.

The Be Counted spirit that we ushered in with the decennial continues to this day. Communities are still at work marshalling resources to meet community needs. As always, the decennial Census will play a pivotal role in that process.

On behalf of the U.S. Census Bureau, I want to express my thanks to all of our regional partners,  Complete Count Committee members, supporters and friends. Your efforts have helped to define the spirit of the 2010 Census and the portrait of the nation.

Sincerely,

Stanley D. Moore
Regional Director

Deadline was April 16

If you did not mail back your census form, a census taker will visit your home in person to ensure that we accurately count each person in the country...

  • Census takers are your neighbors – people from your community, hired by the Census Bureau, to go door-to-door and collect census information from residents that have not sent back their 2010 Census forms.  Please cooperate with the census takers to ensure an accurate count of your community.

  • A census taker will visit your home up to six times, each time leaving a door hanger.  The door hanger has a phone number on it that  you can call to schedule a visit and be counted.

Help Shape the Future of Ashwaubenon! Be counted!

Telephone Questionnaire Assistance (TQA)
Call TQA to get answers to basic questions about the 2010 Census. If you haven't participated in the census yet, you should receive a visit from us soon. Over 600,000 census-takers are currently interviewing the households that didn't return a questionnaire. Calling us now will not prevent your household from being interviewed, so please cooperate with the census taker if one visits your house.
